The World Horse Welfare Garden is being exhibited in the Artisan Category and will be created by Chelsea gold medal winning designers Woolcott and Smith (AKA Adam Woolcott and Jonathan Smith). It is a traditional wildflower garden that will tell the story of a horse which has been rescued from a small, derelict and dangerous stable surrounded by plants that are dangerous to horses and then liberated and re-homed into an open and safe meadow surrounded with horse friendly plants. Central to the garden is a horse sculpture, made from recycled horseshoes. It stands upright and proud looking to a future filled with contentment and hope.

We hope that our blogs will chart the journey of the garden, provide a diary of events and will also illustrate the challenges and rewards of creating a garden at the world’s best garden show.
